Fourth Flight

 Joseph (Joe) Rodriguez Jr (11.22.26) Army Joe joined the army in 1945 from Colorado. During the war he served with the 251 Replacement Company at the 13 Replacement Depot in Hawaii. Joe discharged from the Army in 1946 as a Staff Sergeant.  

 

Edwin Plante (4.13.26) ArmyAF Edwin joined the Army in 1944 from Minnesota. During the War he served in Texas and Mississippi, supporting stateside. Edwin continued his military career with the Army and then the Air Force until 1965 when he retired as a Master Sergeant.  

 

Celestino Garcia (4.6.26) Army Celestino joined the Army from Denver in 1946. During this time he

served stateside and was discharged locally at Fort Carson.  

 

Richard (Andy) Anderson (5.7.29) Army Andy joined the army in 1943 from Colorado. During the war he served in Finshchhafen, New Guinea, Leyte, Philippines, Luzon and Japan. He was discharged from the Army in 1945 as a Private First Class.

 

Hugh (Delbert) Towsley (6.16.24) Navy Delbert joined the Army in 1945 from Colorado. During the war he trained in Chicago, Mississippi and California before entering the Naval Academy Prep School. Delbert discharged from the Navy in 1965 as a Master Chief Petty Officer. 

 

Freddie Meier (5.4.22) Army Freddie entered in Sept 1942, during the war he served in the CB1 Theater

in India. Freddie was discharged Feb 1946.  

 

Eric (Mike) Samuelson (5.6.16) Army Air Corps  

 

Donald (Don) Hagood (3.5.25) USAF Don joined the Air Force in 1943 from Nebraska. He served in the Pacific TheatreDon discharged from in 1945 as a Staff Sergeant.  

 

Leslie (Pete) Guy (6.23.2) Army Pete joined the Army from Colorado. During the war he served in Panama. Pete discharged from the Army in 1945 as Technical Sergeant.  

 

Frederick (Griff) Griffith (9.4.26) Army Griff joined the Army from Kansas in 1945. He served mostly stateside in Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Virginia before heading off to Japan. Griff was discharged from the Army in 1946 as a Private.  

 

Jack Miller (6.22.19) Army Jack joined the Army in 1940 from Kansas. During the war he served in Okinawa. Jack continued his military career with the Army until 1961 when he retired as a Major. 

 

Clyde Morris (6.8.25) ArmyAF Clyde joined the Army in 1943 from Pennsylvania. During the war he

served in the 3rd Army in Europe. He left the Army in 1947 as a Corporal. He then joined the Air Force for

the Korean War where he served as a First Sergeant.  

 

Irvin (Moose) Hornkohl (12.8.23) Navy Irvins Navy adventures began long before Vietnam. He was a

17yearold raw recruit assigned to the USS Oklahoma in 1941. A twist of fate enabled him to survive the attack at Pearl Harbor. He went on to serve on 11 wartime patrols on three submarines, and he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps medal for heroic conduct for a nighttime rescue of Australian commandos on the island of Timor in 1943. He was in the Navy for 30 years.

 

Donald (Don) Lowman (5.1.24) Navy Don joined the Navy in June 1943. He was a part of the Seabees in the South Pacific and participated in the Philippine Liberation. Don left the Navy in June 1946.

 

Rex Davis (4.8.21) Navy Rex joined the Navy in 1942 from Colorado. During the war he served in the

European, Mediterranean, and Pacific Theaters.  He left the Navy as a 2nd Class Radar man in 1945.

 

Paul Buss (6.1.18) Army Paul joined the Army in 1943. He served in New Guinea and then onto the

Philippines where he was part of the first convoy into Manila. Paul left the Army in 1946.

 

Joe Garcia (4/19/27) Army Joe joined the Army in 1946. He served stateside before heading to Frankfurt

Germany. Joe left the Army in 1949.  

 

Donald Wagler (3.18.27) Navy Don joined the Navy in 1945 from Iowa. During the war he served stateside at Great Lakes, IL and then onto Hospital Corps training in Idaho. Then he was moved to Oregon. Don discharged from the Navy in 1946 as Hospital Apprentice First Class.

 

Ralph Sutter (9.15.22) Army Air Corp Ralph joined the Army in 1941 from Pennsylvania. He served his time flying in and out of England and Benghazi, Africa before discharging in 1945 as a Staff Sergeant.

 

Eugene (Gene) Hamilton (8.14.22) Army Air Corps Gene joined the Army Air Corps in 1944 from California. He served his time stateside in Colorado, Alabama and Nebraska before discharging in 1945 as a 2nd Lieutenant.

 

Paul Evans (6.19.26) Navy Paul joined the Navy from Colorado. He was trained as a Torpedo man stateside and then headed from Oahu to Guam and then onto the Marianas and back to Guam and CincPacAdvHdqrs. Paul left the Navy as a Master of Arms in 1946.

 

Thomas (Tom) Hendrix (4.4.25) Army Tom joined the Army in 1943 from Colorado. During the war he served in New Guinea, New Britton, Luzon, the Philippines, and Japan. He discharged from the Army as Tech 5 in 1947.

 

Edwin (Ed) Holton (5.1.25) Navy Ed joined the Navy in 1942 from California. During the war he trained in Idaho and California then it was off to the Pacific on the USS Kennisson DD138 and the USS Clytie AS-­‐

26. He discharged from the Navy in 1946 as a TME 2nd Class.
